Short Description
IT Support Specialist Responsibilities of IT Support Specialist Job duties will include: Answering voice calls and email requests and logs ITS support calls into tracking system Provides Tier 1 support to end users for both software and hardware Troubleshoots desktop and laptop computer problems and performs or coordinates repairs as appropriate Recommends systems modifications to reduce incidents and problems Minimum qualifications: 1-3 years experience in a related field with a working knowledge of computers, networking Windows XP, MS Office Suite, Microsoft Outlook, time management, and troubleshooting skills, A+ certification preferred Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent customer service skills Experience with Windows, Office, Outlook, and other desktop software applications including installation and user set up Excellent and demonstrable troubleshooting and problem resolution skills Operation understanding of IP-based networking technologies Organization and time management skills; broad knowledge across IT disciplines Experience writing user friendly documentation. Must be self-motivated, an independent worker and a strong team player with the ability to handle multiple tasks and ability to learn new skills and systems quickly
